About the project

MDC interiors needed a portfolio website to display its accomplished work catalogue, services and heritage. Our work was focused on building an online presence and modernising the existing brand image while portraying the traditional values of quality, attention to detail and customer service that made the MDC brand stand out.

First, we conducted an analysis of MDC’s services, customer profile and values to construct a relevant online presence.

Following this, we produced a tailored website structure highlighting the information needed to accelerate the website development.

We presented a tailored website design and sought feedback to further adapt it to MDC’s needs. Finally, we presented the final version of the website in February 2020.

Today, MDC sources an increasing share of its clients through their company website and with our help, MDC in the process of building a strong online presence.

The illustrations needed to represent the range of services provided by the firm. In addition, MDC required to include the navy petrol blue colour which had been part of the brand since its beginnings in their new logo.

There were two main challenges, first was to portray in the logo the desired attributes of the firm; all-in-one service and sustainability. Second, was to create illustrations balancing the light colours of the work produced by MDC throughout the years with the darker colour palette required by the brand image.

The first difficulty was solved  with the use of symbolism. We played with the symbols of hands, nature and house to have the final result.

To overcome the second challenge of colour palette, we provided MDC with a variety of options for the illustrations to then focus on fine tuning the selected ones by the firm.

The result was a full range of illustrations that resonated with the designs for the firm and a logo that is fit-for-purpose and represents the upcoming importance of sustainability in real estate and interior design.
